POSES TO TRY

1. Experiment with different facial expressions. When it comes to your visage, make sure you get some variety in your shots. Have some looking directly at the camera, some looking away, some smiling and some serious. Also, try not to blink when the photos are being taken!
You don't have to stick with the feel of the scene. You are totally allowed to be frolicking sadly in a meadow -- it could lead to dynamism and a greater message.

2. Work with poses that are just the torso on up. The photographer can either cut you off at your midsection for a closer up photo, or you may have a surface in front of you blocking the rest of your body. Work with this in a number of ways.
Turn around and look backwards over your shoulder. It's very simple, but it can also be evocative.
Play with your hands near your shoulders or face. But remember the rule: only show the sides of your hands! This continues the line of your arm, making them look longer and leaner.
Lean forward slightly. This, when done well, can look candid and emphasize the curve of your body. Since you don't have the entirety of your shape to create the "S," allude to this by leaning forward slightly, invitingly.

3. Master the full body pose. With your whole form on camera, you have loads of options when it comes to posing. Ask your director what he/she is looking for and narrow it down from there.
Turn slightly and put your hands in your back pockets. If you don't have back pockets, place them where they would be if you did. This accomplishes another rule previously discussed -- leaving space between your trunk and your arms.
Support your back against a wall. Throw up the leg closest to the camera and rest the foot on the wall as well. Don't put up the other leg -- you generally want to keep the outer thigh exposed, not the inner thigh.
Move your hands up and down your body and slowly twist side to side. Full height shots are hard to do and you'll want to keep a constant curve and natural flow. Consider raising your hands above your head, too, for a rather sensual pose.

4. Use the ground. Just as you have a plethora of options while standing, you have just as many on the ground. And you may be more comfortable!
Place your hands behind your back, resting on the ground and throw out your legs, with one knee slightly up. Throw your head back a bit. The long line of your body will create a nice angle and shape.
Sit Indian style, but pull up one knee to your chest. Wrap your hand around the leg closest to you and tilt your shoulders and neck. Clasp your hands together just past the view of the camera.
Sit on the ground, but on your side. Throw one hand to your side and one arm resting loosely on a bent knee. Place the foot of your other leg at the heel of your foot that is resting flat on the ground.
Regards.

RUNWAY WALK TIPS

It requires good posture, balance and technique - all of which take time to develop. Practice makes perfect!
If the shoes are new, scratch the soles with scissors so that they will not slip when they touch the floor.

Alternatively, you can cover d sole of the shoe wth masking tape, if you don't want to scratch your shoes. Whatever u do, don't wear flip flops!
Learn to stand like a supermodel. Practice posture, throw your shoulders back and down & push ur hips slightly forward.

You should be able to balance a book on the top of your head. Place the ball of your foot down first (not the toes), then your heel.
but keep most of your weight balanced on the ball of your foot rather than on the heel.
It may feel strange, but keeping much of your weight on the ball of the foot gives you more of an elegant stride than a clunky (stepped down).
heel- weighted walk would. It's almost like walking on your tippy-toes, the way ballerinas do, but more natural.
Put one foot in front of the other (literally). Toes should face forwards. Your footprints should form a zigzag.

When done quickly, this gives the body that characteristic swing. Your ankles should never bump, this is painful and may make you fall!
Make your stride look long and controlled by lifting your legs almost in the same fashion a horse would while doing trotting leg extensions.
For each stride, you want to lift your foot a good distance off the ground (with a bend in the knee)

Then place it down a good distance in front of the supporting leg, with a stride longer than a normal walk would have.
Don't make your strides 2 large-this will make u look awkward & ungraceful but make sure u take large enough steps, rather than baby steps.

Look straight forward, capturing d essence of d clothes you're wearing w/ d expression on your face. Focus on an object straight ahead of you.
(but don't stare at a viewer...that is creepy). Try to smize (smile with you eyes). This will give a fierce look to your face & to your walk.

Keep ur chin level & ur eyes up -uwant the spectators 2 see your face. Keep your head and shoulders still as your body moves down the runway
Your head and shoulder should feel a little like a sturdy coat hanger, and things should swing from there.

Don't swing your shoulders, and don't over exagerate arm movements. Do make sure, however, that your hips swing more than they would usually
This may take some practice 2 look good. When d beats to the music are slower, swing your hips more and slow your pace.

When u make ur turn at the end, make sure your left foot is in front as you pause 4 a beat/double beat in your music.
Your hips, shoulders & feet should be facing d side of d runway as your head is turned 2 look straight on at the audience over your shoulder.

After posing 4 a beat, pivot your feet back towards the curtain or glass, pick up your front foot first (your right foot), & continue walking.
Make sure that your face is the last thing to turn away from the audience!
Fingers naturally fidget/fist up when ure nervous, but don't let them! It'll be a bigger distraction than you realize.Just let them hang down.

Develop your own signature walk. There's no simple formula for walking the runway, and what will ultimately make you stand out.
Its not only how well u can move your body but also how much of your own personality y can inject into your performance to make it memorable.
The best way 2 create your own unique style is 2 experiment, practice & get feedback (even if it means taking some constructive criticism).

Most importantly, you must walk & strut your stuff like you know you're beautiful & you know that you're smokin' hot
Self-doubt and low self-esteem can be damaging and there's nothing prettier than a girl with confidence.

You could practice strutting like you mean it by listening to your iPod or other musical device, put a hot song on & walk to the beat!
Step gracefully, not like you're marching. If you should trip, fall, or have any other unfortunate circumstance, recover gracefully.

Smile, and keep going as if it never happened. Nothing will demonstrate your confidence like your performance under stressful circumstances.
Don't move ur arms or shoulders too much &don't move an arm more than you move the other or it will look like u have only one arm that works
To make your face look pleasant and yet sophisticated, try to "Smize", meaning 'smile with your eyes.

Videotape yourself walking, so you can understand what other people are seeing.
Also, by keeping a visual record of your walk, you'll be able to trace your progress as you learn how to strut your stuff like a real model
Don't exaggerate by opening your eyes too much or lifting your legs too high while walking.

Watch supermodels walk the walk. Visit fashion shows & watch them on TV. Who were the models that stood out the most?
What made them unique? How was her walk different from the others'? Learn from the best so that you don't have to reinvent the wheel.
Keep your posture "H2T", or Head to Toe; this means focusing on all parts of the body while modeling or walking.

THE FIRST 10 STEPS FOR WEDDING PLANNING

Congratulations! You're about to embark on two amazing adventures - the first, of course, being your life as a wedded couple and the second being the exciting, yet often overwhelming process of planning a wedding. A wedding will probably be the biggest and most involved party or ritual either of you have ever put together. Before you get overwhelmed, take a deep breath, then do these ten things.

1. Enjoy Being Engaged

Kiss each other a thousand times. Jump up and down saying, "We're engaged!" Stare at the engagement ring. Take the time to write down in detail how you got engaged. (We'd love for you to share your marriage proposal story with us!) Contemplate the wonderful things ahead of you. Take pictures of yourselves with the engagement ring. Kiss each other a thousand more times.

2. Tell Your Parents

You should tell your parents of your impending nuptials before anyone else. (Unless of course, you are estranged.) Both of you should be present and ideally you will tell them in person - they'll have a chance to see your happiness up close, look at the ring, and start talking about the wedding. Traditionally the bride's parents know before the groom's do, but any order is really fine. (If you're a traditional couple, the groom may already have asked her parents for her hand in marriage.) Then share the news with a few close friends - the ones who are likely candidates for maid/matron of honor and best man, or definite attendants in some capacity.

3. Purchase a Journal If You Don't Already Have One

This will be a time of ten thousand moments you won't want to forget, as well as some frustrating times that you'll need to vent about, and not necessarily to your partner. The journal you keep while planning your wedding will not only help you through this time, but it will be something you cherish for the rest of your life. If you're internet savvy kinds of folks, you may also consider doing this journaling online at a site such as Livejournal, tumblr or your own blog.

4. Announce Your Engagement

Tell everyone the good news! There are many ways of doing this, and no way is more correct or better than another. Find out more about engagement announcement etiquette and samples of engagement announcements

Consider:
Announcing your engagement in print publications
Mailing announcements to your family and friends
Creating a wedding website

5. Set the Date

One of the most important decisions you will make as you plan your wedding. Not only will it be the first question everyone will ask you, but you'd be surprised how difficult it will be to make any progress on planning your wedding without knowing the date.

6. Set the Tone of Your Event

This is the time to decide if you're having a formal wedding, a casual affair, or a theme wedding. It's also the time to decide on having a religious or secular ceremony. In short, you need to decide what you want your wedding to feel like. A good way to begin is to sit down with your partner and do some free writing about your ideal wedding. Look at the adjectives that each of you write and use them as a starting point.

7. Set the Budget

Start off by using a printable wedding budget worksheet. Look at your finances and figure out how much you already have in savings, and how much you can save each month. Talk to each of your parents and ask them if they'd like to contribute to your wedding, and either how much they'd like to give you, or what specific things they'd like to pay for.

Lastly, decide how much you feel comfortable going into debt. I strongly advise couples to avoid debt as much as possible. Since married couples fight about money more than anything else, why start marriage with debt on your backs? At this time you may consider opening a new credit card just for the wedding that will earn you airline miles, cash back, or other incentives. It's a good way for you to keep track of wedding expenses, and can help you pay for your honeymoon. Just try to pay it off in full each month.

8. Choose Your Attendants

As your attendants do a lot more than just stand next to you on the day of the wedding, now is the time to get them involved. While some couples opt not to have any attendants at all, especially if they're having a casual event, most choose between 2 and 12 members of the bridal party. Look over these lists of responsibilities for bridesmaids and groomsmen before you make your final choices. If they live nearby, its nice to ask someone in person, but a phone call is fine for those who live far away. You may also want to read How many bridesmaids and groomsmen should you have? or How many bridesmaids and groomsmen is too many?

9. Start Looking for Venues for Ceremony and Reception

Many venues are booked a year in advance, so the further in advance you start looking, the more likely you are to get the time, date, and cost that you've planned for.

10. Get Support

The successful bride and groom do not plan their wedding alone - they get help! This may be from professionals, respected publications, or trusted friends who've planned their own weddings.

- Consider hiring a wedding planner or consultant. Especially if you are a busy person, or just feel a little lost, a professional can be invaluable in putting together your ideal day, and can often save you money.

- Use online checklists - they're free, and especially helpful if you're planning with your mother or future spouse in another state. The most important of these forms is the overall wedding checklist which will help you stay on top of all of your important to-do's.

- If you're like most couples, you'll come home from the bookstore with a few thousand pounds of wedding magazines - why not throw in a wedding planning book as well? While the internet offers many useful tools, a book is portable when you visit vendors and can accommodate the many brochures, swatches and other items you'll be collecting. If you are budget conscious, purchase a three ring binder, and build your own planner with printouts from the internet.

Now that you've made all these decisions, you have a solid foundation for your wedding! It's now time for the fun stuff - dresses, tuxes, flowers, music, favors and more! Remember to use a checklist to help yourself stay organized and on top of it all.
Regards.

EYE GLASSES FOR MEN

If eye-wear has taken another level for men. It certainly did at London Fashion Week and more so right now. So watch out girls the guys are embracing eye wear fashion just as much as us. It’s great to see that men are not afraid to experiment with their eye-wear. Summer is looming and one thing for sure. If Mr cool is who you’re trying to be, then be inspired by these guys.

Which Style for You
-Glasses for Round Faces – Round  face needs to be about the same width and height, with a curving chin and cheeks. Flat, rectangular lenses will make your face appear longer and thinner.  Thick frames on a round face are not so good, so keep the actual material thin.

-Glasses for Heart-Shaped Faces – You can take a lot of the emphasis of a pointed chin by wearing lenses that are wider at the top than the bottom. A butterfly taper to the sides are great because it brings the attention in toward the center of your face. Embrace thicker wire or plastic frames.

-Glasses for Square Faces – If you are looking to soften your impression up a little then wear rounded lenses. If you like the strong profile and don’t want glasses to make you look out there, a squared-off shapes can still work. Make sure the lenses are large and about even in height and width, the frames should stay slim.

-Glasses for Oval Faces – Oval faces are the most common feature for men. They work well with most styles.  An oval face is taller than it is wide, with a rounded chin and high cheekbones, and it can wear either squared-off frames or curving ones. A thicker frame can add definition to your face.

Sunglass Inspiration
The following photos were taken by Olly Clarke at the London Fashion Week  and show a wide variety of sunglass styles out there. Be inspired for your next pair.

WHY HIRE AN EVENT PLANNER FOR A WEDDING

Each year thousands of men and women get married. When getting married, couples basically have two main planning options. They can either plan their own wedding or they can hire a professional event planner. As with any item or service, there are advantages and disadvantages to hiring an event planner.

A wedding is a major organizing event, no matter the type or the sizes, with even the smallest and simplest weddings require a great deal of organization in the lead up to the big day. With the current wedding industry reporting that weddings are getting bigger and more expensive than ever before, many couples appear to be turning to event planners to assist in their wedding organization.

One of the advantages of a hiring an event planner is that you will get everything you want for your wedding without having to do much of the work. The event planner will plan and organize your wedding, but they will do it all the way that you want. This means that you will pretty much select a cake and then the event planner will ensure that the cake is ordered, made, and delivered on time for your wedding.

Another advantage of hiring a professional event planner is that you will get the best deal for your money. Event planners are experienced in finding great wedding deals. There are also many event planners who receive discounts from regularly working with certain catering companies, music djs, and other vendors.

A wedding is supposed to be a wonderful day, but that does not mean that unexpected events or emergencies will not occur. The majority of event planners are trained and experienced in handling all aspects of a wedding, including emergencies. This will allow a bride and groom to sit back and enjoy their wedding no matter what may happen.

Perhaps the biggest advantage of hiring an event planner is that it will save you a lot of time. Event planners are responsible for contacting vendors, ordering wedding items, keeping on budget, and just about every other part of a wedding that needs to be planned. This means that a couple could continue to go about their daily activities without having their wedding cause any distractions.

There are only a few disadvantages to hiring an event planner. Those disadvantages include the cost and the possibility of hiring someone inexperienced. In today's world just about any individual can develop their own business. Meeting an event planner ahead of time and requesting the contact information of past clients is a great way to ensure that you are hiring the services of a trained professional.

As previously mentioned, the cost of an event planner will be fairly expensive, but it is one that is usually worth it. Many brides would be more than willing to pay a professional event planner just for peace of mind. It is possible to find a low-cost event planner; however, quality should not be compromised for price.

It is easy to see that the advantages of hiring an event planner outweigh the disadvantages, but the decision is up to you. If you are a new bride or groom who is concerned with planning a wedding you are encouraged to at least schedule a free consultation with a local event planner.

MODELS: Essential Tips For facial expressions for photo shootS

Much of the attention in photo modelling is given to the way a model poses and outfits. Yet, little or no attention is given to facial expressions. Expressions will make or break a photo shoot. Photos will be soulless and tell nothing. It is suggested that every model has a couple of expressions, which he/she is good at up his/her sleeve. That way it gives character and meaning to his/her photos. This article describes some of the very basic facial expressions, which you should attempt to capture in order to have a full photo session.
In order to improve the overall facial expressions when posing for a photo shoot, a model should use his/her hands, palms and fingers in a way to compliment and maximize his/her expressions.

DAY DREAMING AND FANTASIZING
This is a pensive mood in which you dream about your aspirations, nostalgic moments and sentimental places. Your facial expressions should be calm and relaxed. Chin can be cupped in both palms of the hands or head leaned over palm of the hand. Head can be rested on both hands too.

LONELINESS AND SADNESS
Here you should let your mind drift and detach yourself from your surroundings. You should look deep within you and come face to face with your worst fears and heart aches. In order to bring out the best emotions you should feel them rather than act them. Your facial expressions should be tense and stressed.

HAPPINESS
This should be a straight forward and easy emotion to get across in your photos. Think of enjoyable moments with your family and friends, or funny situations that keep bringing a smile on your face.
You can run your fingers through your hair or hands can be held over the tummy when laughing out loud.

SENSUAL AND SEDUCTIVE
For many models it comes naturally while others have to put more work in it. Most of the expressions should be transmitted through the eyes and the tilting of the head.Your facial expression should hint lust-fulness and seductiveness.

POLKA DOTS : A GAME OF POLKA WITH YOUR DOTS

Polka Dots
Polka Dots remain a classic element in the fashion history. Polka dots are one of the most eye-catching and striking prints. Do you wonder how to embrace polka dots without going all dotty. The strategy is all about a game of polka with your dots.

Tips on How to Wear Polka Dots

You have so many options and versions of polka dots from discreet to more extravagant ones. Whatever the item of clothing or accessory. It is very important to know how to wear them.Once you are convinced to wear polka dots, start by choosing only one accessory such as a scarf or a tie.

Scarves: Dots can be matched with a classic, casual or elegant outfit. All you have to think about is what colour polka dots you are going for.

Ties: You can't go too wrong here. Just think about your colour pallet. Black and white is one of the winning combinations that never fails.
Shirts: If you are becoming a man that seeks attention then the polka dot shirt is for you. Just think how big you want your dots to be.

Jackets: Dark blue and white dots are a nice way to show your boldness. Keep everything else very neutral. Get ready because the attention will be immense.

Evening Wear: For a night out with your friends. Match a pair of chinos or jeans with your dotted shirt. Weddings are a great platform to embrace polka dot suits. Not for all but if you are going to do it. Go for it. Another option is by matching. your top with your suit trouser dots.

One thing to think about, make sure the dots pattern is lineal/diagonal and dots small. When dots become splotches it's a disaster.

Going Sockless With Your Shoes ? STYLE GUIDE

SOCKLESS SHOES
Why would you? How comfortable is it? What shoes look great sockless? What would i team my sockless shoe with? I find most men don?t groom their feet. So there is nothing more hideous seeing unkempt feet, cracked heels and black toe nails...

At least pamper you feet first. Go for some clever little socks that cover your toes and the smell of your feet. Or alternatively buy some powder to avoid foot odour. Once you?ve got the foot preparation in hand. Then it?s all about the style of shoe you prefer.

SUEDE - Go for a soft shoe that looks nice, feels great and perfect for no blisters.

TASSEL LOAFERS - The choice now is endless. It?s the colour you need to decide on as well as the leather type. If the leather feels too hard then pain will be your gain.

LOAFERS - Nice with trousers and jeans, pleasant to look at and very street smart.

BROGUES - Heavy duty perfect with cuffed trousers and linen suits.
Boat Shoes ? Long shorts, knee high shorts, anything short.

DOUBLE MONK STRAP - If your work allows it, these are perfect for business in summer.

Gentlemen whatever you do. Start thinking about your feet. Women notice what?s on them. You know they can judge a man by his shoes.

Five Top Reasons Why A Tailored Suit Is Better Than Ready Made

As a man Or woman you need to understand the important of looking good, feeling good but not being put out by having to search for the right suit for hours on end.

To make this even easier for you, here re the top five reasons to buy a tailored suit rather than one off the peg.

1. A tailored suit takes countless measurements to make sure that every aspect is created to fit your body and your shape. If you buy a suit off the peg, it has a generis shape which will often need to be altered to fit comfortable and even when it has been altered, the fit still wont be perfect.

2. When a suit is being tailored, there are a number of fittings you can have, at each stage of the process. This ensures that the suit fits you correctly from the start to the finish. You may also get a warranty on your suit, so if you put on weight or lose some, we can alter the suit.

3. There are hundreds of fabrics and linings that you can choose from. Do you want your name embroidered inside? That?s fine! Turn ups on the trousers? We can do that too. On a suit you can pick up from your average suit shop, it comes how it comes and you do not have a say in the various changes you may like to be made to the suit.

4. Generally, fashion store tend to be on trend. This means that they will stock what is ?in? at the moment and not stock everything that may not be considered cool at the time of buying. This means that if you prefer something a bit different, quirky or unusual, they may not be able to help.

5. Off the peg suits are often made with far cheaper material, which wears quickly and you find yourself needing to buy new suits more frequently. The fabric used by tailors can often be so superior in quality, that the suit ends up lasting a lot longer. When visiting a tailor, you also get great aftercare advice, so you know how often to have your suit dry cleaned, how to store it and which situations it would look best being won.

Are Teen Boys The New Style Icons?

Are Teen Boys The New Style Icons?

They wear Rick Owens, Helmut Lang, and Hood by Air, styled simply and nonchalantly. They draw on their clothes and shrug at trends. They look cooler than you, and seem to be better at shopping, too. They?re teenage (or very nearly teenage) boys, and it took us some time to admit it, but some of the most inspiring style right now can be found on their Instagram pages.

Young people have always reigned over the most visible method of sartorial expression?the street (remember the power of nineties grunge?)?but this generation, enabled by heightened access to information and ever-present social media is not only more aware of fashion?s momentum than ever, they?re more passionate and more discerning about what they buy. Only with the explosion of Instagram have we had the chance to see what they really wear every day. And you know what? It?s good. Really good. It?s as if these young bucks have radar for archival Raf Simons and were born to invent new ways to tuck in a T-shirt.

Part of their prowess developed growing up online, clicking through collections and building a community on eBay from the time they were mere tots (though many say they still only shop in-person in stores). They have a preternatural understanding of patience?most advise that if you really want something, it will make its way into your closet eventually?and since they?re teen boys, their brains are developmentally hard-wired for risk taking. So if you?re looking for a fresh point-of-view on fashion, they?re your guys. We gathered six of the most fashionable young-men-about-the-Internet?from fourteen-year-old Mike Hope, AKA Mike the Ruler, who is a style icon for the downtown VFILES set, to Chet DeHart and Betts DeHart, the dashing eighteen-year-old Atlanta-based twins who started their own streetwear brand (Lucid FC)?and asked them: What style advice would you give the women who read Vogue.com? Their answers will surprise you, not to mention elevate your wardrobe.

1. Stop caring.
Just don?t care sometimes. Comfortably chic is everything. Take what you absolutely love and find a way to make it cool. And if it?s already cool, make it cooler. Put a spin on it the way you know the next person wouldn?t dare try. No matter how many or how few pieces of clothing you have, there?s always another way to look at them. I barely get .000001 percent of everything I really want, but there?s always a way to make it work.?
Zach Coffman, 21, associate in Virgil Abloh?s shop?RSVP Gallery?in Chicago.

2. Shop in-store, not online.
?I never order online. There might be a shipping malfunction, I don?t know how it really fits, and if there are any flaws. And straight up, I hate waiting for something I paid for. When I buy in store, I know exactly what I?m buying. I?m a determined and picky shopper.?
Luka Sabbat, 16, student, model, and aspiring designer.

3. You just need one pair of jeans.
I ve learned to always have a good pair of jeans. Currently my only jeans are a pair of raw A.P.C. Petit New Standards. I?ve had them for about ten months and they are amazing. Having a great pair of jeans is always great because it?s something you can style up or down.?
Ethan Holland, 15, thefootwearfanatic.tumblr.com

4. Look For What Is Your Favorite. Not What is Popular.
?Always wear pieces that are basic but have complexity behind them. Taking risks is not needed, just be yourself and remember minimalism is key. Separate color tones properly. Always remember less is more. Sometimes I used to dress a lil? over the top but I have realized that is useless. For shopping, always buy used unless you need to buy new. It?s like recycling, in a way. I find my grail pieces and then focus on current stuff. Look for what is your favorite. Not what is popular.?
Mike Hope, 14, student and artist.

5. Don?t fear the thrift.
?Thrifting is more than okay! There is no denying anymore. It is 2014, you can find anything at a thrift! I?ve even found a YSL suit.?
Betts DeHart, 18, cofounder of Lucid FC.

6. Ignore the trends.
?We just stay true to our mindset and style without following many trends. That is a huge problem with our age group. So many people follow trends and lack individuality. Individuality is rockin-rollie.?
Chet DeHart, 18, cofounder of Lucid FC.

MEN – How to Wear Sandals

Sandals

Finding funky men’s sandals is proving to be like a needle in a hay stack. Generally men wearing footwear is normally a disaster and one they don’t think about too much.

How Not To Wear Sandals
Men choose to wear sandals that look massive on their feet. Big, chunky and normally ugly is what I see. It never matches their outfits. They neglect their feet and all in all it looks very unattractive.

Don’t wear socks with your sandals it just look awful.

How To Wear Sandals

Depending on your feet as well as ankle dimension try and go for a much more refined appearance. One that tends to make you feet appear smaller than they are.

Make sure your sandals match your outfit and choose at least two different styles and colours. Male grooming is on the increase. Go for a pedicure, it is a perfect way to Make sure you look after your feet, there is nothing worse seeing cracked heels and long toe nails. Trust me, women look at your feet, they judge you by what you wear on your feet, it tells a lot about your personal style.

Be inspired by the current collections and ditch your chunky sandals and update your shoe collection.

WOULD YOU ROCK A SKORT ??

Do you remember skorts? Like, from childhood? It was the best thing ever because it looked like a skirt but you didn?t have to worry about sitting ?like a lady,? not cartwheeling and other annoying rules skirts dictate. But they were kind of weird-looking, no? So imagine my surprise to see they?re trending again. But they look a lot cooler

WALLETS ?? .... 5 DIFFERENT STYLES FOR YOUR BACK POCKET

Let's be brutally honest for a moment, when it comes to fashion and style us gents are an uncomplicated bunch, we know what we like and we stick to it. Unlike our female counterparts, who chop and change their outfits on an almost daily basis, we men are not dictated merely by fads and whimsical winds of fashion, we?re a loyal bunch ? if we find a brand we like, chances are we shall return to purchase from said brand time and time again ? who like to keep our style sharp and our fashion not overly fussy. Of course there are men who break these rules, the trend setters, ground breakers, the men who simply want to stand out from the crowd, yet in the main, conformity is the order of the day and while there is nothing wrong with this approach to the ways in which we present ourselves, change as the say is as good as a rest.

One subtle yet elegant way to break these traditional habits is through our choice of accessories and more specifically the wallet we carry in our back pocket. The wallet is perhaps the perfect example of us men and our troubles evolving with the ever demanding changes in style and fashion; men love to have one wallet and seem to see it as some kind of honour that there wallet clings on to life no matter how beaten or frayed it is. We have clothes, shoes and even accessories (ties, hats etc) for each occasion so why not wallets? The wallet should accompany your outfit, it speaks volumes for your character and can easily blend in with the correct outfit making it an essential tool in your accessory kit.

Here's a quick look at wallets for five very different occasions.

CLASSIC LEATHER WALLET

We all need an everyday wallet, you know the kind, the one where the bank card is getting used every day to buy the groceries, fill the petrol tank or pay the council tax. This is your classic wallet and thus should be a good sturdy leather while having card, cash and coin compartments. This wallet is your trusty wing man and will be with you through thick and thin so wear and tear is always a good trait in your classic every wallet.

SLIM CARD HOLDER

It's a Saturday night out with your mates and you only need one bankcard, a form of ID and somewhere to store your bank notes, thus making it the perfect occasion for a slim line cardholder. These wallets have become increasingly popular in recent years and the fact they don?t clog up your pockets with tons of cards you never use, make them ideal for a night out with the lads.

THE EVENT WALLET

Formal occasions call for formal attire and your wallet should follow suit ? you do not turn up to your best friends wedding in a pair of trainer so why would you bring some beaten up old wallet. BLAZER AND SUIT JACKETS

What is the difference between a blazer (or sport coat) and a suit jacket?
Can you ever wear a suit jacket in place of a blazer? The real difference is that a suit jacket comes with a pair of matching pants. I often wear a navy blue suit jacket as a blazer. Lots of young, stylish actors and fashion designers favor wearing a slim, dark suit jacket with a pair of jeans. More casual suit jackets, such as corduroys or tweeds, are better candidates for moonlighting as separates than pin-striped ones are.

Suit Jackets Defined

A suit jacket always comes with pants and sometimes a vest. The fabrics are generally upscale, such as silk and fine wools. In addition, a suit jacket has a single, side or no vents, which are openings on the sides or backs of jackets. Some people also refer to these as slits. Modern jackets contain no vents and tend to fit a bit more snug as a result.

Blazers Defined

Blazers are usually solids in dark blue, navy, black, burgundy, dark green, red and white or ivory, according to My Custom Clothing. In addition, blazers must always have gold or silver buttons, while suit jackets should have matching buttons. Blazers can be single or double-breasted, meaning they have one or two rows of buttons. Typically, blazers have vents on the side rather than the back or no vent at all.

More so than ever the variety of blazers and sport jackets available are endless. Ted Baker London do wicked Blazers.

HOW TO ROCK A CARDIGAN AS AN OUTER WEAR

The key to donning a cardigan as a piece of outer wear is to go with the heavier knits. The cardigan that you?ve been wearing as a layering piece is probably a thin gauge, fine merino wool or cashmere and offers minimal warmth. If you?re looking for something that will give you some substantial warmth, ditch those thin cardigans and invest in heavy knits.

Style Tips:
?When pairing a with ?dressy?/work looks, waist coats add the illusion of wearing a three piece suit, with the cardigan acting a your suit jacket.

?The thicker the knit, the warmer the cardigan. Before selecting your cardigan, ask yourself, ?How long do I plan to wear this outside??

?Thicker knits are stiffer and can limit mobility upon the 1st few times you wear your cardigan. After a few wears, the stiffness will subside and the piece will be less rigid.

?Patterns: if the pattern of your cardigan is busy, keep the rest of the outfit pretty understated. Think of that cardigan as your ?statement piece? in your casual look.

?Sleeves: most sleeves are longer than your actual arm length. You can roll the excess sleeve fabric under to a length that is personally pleasing.

?Belted Cardigan: This style is not for everyone. Gives off the vibe of sitting by the fire and smoking a pipe (if that?s what you?re going for). The length of this style is longer than the traditional cardigan and would be great to wear for long distance travel because of overall comfort. You got to have some balls to wear this one. Remember this is NOT a house coat.

?Choose your style battle wisely. If weather conditions are windy, even the heaviest cardigan may not protect you from the cold.

?Cable knits are typically the warmest of all knit cardigans.

HOW TO MODEL AND WHAT YOU NEED TO BECOME A MODEL

There are no set rules on how to model and this will be different depending on what kind of modeling you choose to do. However, by following our easy steps on how to model you can get to the bottom of the question on every models mind: What are the ABCs of starting out as a model? 1. Know yourself and your strengths. It’s very important to know what you’re able to do and what you want to do as a model. Many models end up working as models accidentally or by chance, while others work hard to become models. In either case, it’s good to be aware of what it takes to work as a professional model. You can always try out modeling schools or classes where they teach you everything from how to pose to being more confident. 2. Decide what type of modeling you would like to do. There are many different kinds of modeling that you can do as a model, and that’s why it’s advisable to have a sense of direction as to where you want to take your career as a model and where you think your strengths lie. 3. Take some photos of yourself and build a portfolio. Look for a professional photographer to ensure good quality photos. In case you cannot afford to pay a professional photographer to take your photos, ask someone you know to take some good and clear head and body shots. If and when you are successful and chosen for a modeling job, you will be directed as much as needed and with time and experience you will build your confidence as a model and know how to model like a pro.

QUALITIES NEEDED tO BE A SUCCESSFUL MODEL : CONFIDENCE.

Clients are looking for someone who is confident and can sell a product convincingly. If you're not naturally confident, consider using one of the many self-help books or CDs available that can help you to build up self-confidence. To renew your confidence in your looks, remind yourself of compliments you've received from others. A 'thick skin'. You must be able to handle the rejection that every model faces, while still putting yourself forward whenever there's a chance of getting the job. You can't expect to meet the expectations of every client. Try to think, 'It's good if I get the job, but if they don't want my look I won't feel bad about it'. STAMINA. A model needs to be fit and healthy so they can work all day and still look good at the end of it. Maintain a healthy diet and work out at least three times a week. If you can't afford a gym, walking and running are great exercises that anyone can do. If you're too busy to exercise, build exercise into your daily routine by walking to work or to the shops. Independence. Professional models may have to travel often, so you need an independent spirit and a self-starting attitude. You'll need to get yourself up in the morning and make sure you arrive at the job on time and ready to perform. You also need to be comfortable if you need to be by yourself for long periods. ORGANISATION. You need to be well organised in order to keep track of the dates, times and locations of your castings and appointments. Keep a paper diary with you or use one of the many online tools available to enter and edit your appointments. Keep all your papers in a single safe and secure WILLPOWER. Working models can't afford to indulge in drink, drugs or partying. You must have the will power to say NO. An agency will drop a model very quickly if it becomes clear that his or her lifestyle could affect her work - or the agency's reputation. Availability and responsiveness. Make sure it's easy for agencies to get in touch with you if they need to. When you have a confirmed job, communicate with the photographer/agency as much as you can, and answer their queries as quickly as possible. FASHION. Keep up with the latest styles and clothing trends, particularly those that suit your looks and style. Keep your portfolio updated with shots that use recent looks. PERSISTENCE. This is perhaps the most important attribute of all. It takes a lot of work to be a professional model! It's no good waiting for work to come to you - you need the get-up-and-go attitude of someone who sets goals and goes after them. As George Bernard Shaw said, 'The people who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want, and, if they can't find them, make them.
Warm Regards.

HAVING MODELLING CAREER

What are the expectations for a career as a model? Becoming a model is the dream of every young girl or boy who craves fashion, designer clothes, glamour, being center stage and traveling the world. If you are determined to pursue a professional modelling career, and you feel that you have what it takes, there are a few key things to keep in mind when you decide to take that crucial step onto the catwalk. Time and Dedication Building your modeling career and portfolio takes time, effort and dedication. A model must be strong-minded and resilient to navigate the chaotic waters of the fashion industry. Confidence and a strong-will are the best weapons of self defense in this high-paced, ever evolving and fiercely competitive modeling world. Professional attitude If you want a successful modeling career, being professional is one of the most important things when working on a photo shoot. However, a fashion shoot consists more than just of a series of poses. You have to be prepared to withstand long hours with fashion designers or in a photo studio, while keeping a positive and helpful attitude. Nobody wants to work with a model who makes the job more difficult with negativity or ego. Where In The World Am I? While being a model and having a modeling career has its rewards, one of the pitfalls of the industry is its nomadic quality; a model must be willing to move cities at a drop of a hat. This often results in the feeling of loneliness and the feeling of being out of touch with ones family. Enjoy The Ride If you want to succeed in the modelling business you have to put your heart and mind into it. However, keep in mind that the professional cycle of a model is extremely short lived. So enjoy this exclusive and extraordinary race by living it passionately, but don’t forget to take pleasure on what comes next after you’ve cross the finish line.
Warm Regards.

BENEFITS OF HAVING A GOOD PORTFOLIO

Your portfolio is your most important asset. It represents you and the type of work you do. It may seem as simple as putting together some pictures into a book but there are a few key things to keep in mind. If you're a newbie and haven't done a photo shoot before, you don't have to worry about that hurting your chances if you're looking for an agent to sign with. They love to sign undiscovered talent and will set you up with shoots for your portfolio right away. If you are already modeling, then this post will most likely be more helpful to you but newer models can definitely take note as well! The first thing your portfolio must do is reflect the type of work that you fit. In this particular case, only include images in your professional portfolio that you meet the requirements for. If you have an agent already, this will help them immediately submit you for bookings that are appropriate. You do your agent no favor by being a 5'5" commercial/print model who only has high fashion images in your portfolio. That doesn't mean you can't do pictures that are outside of your field in the industry, because by all means you can, but when it comes to your agent and being considered for work, keep it to the themes your agency is representing you for. If you are a commercial/print model, then your portfolio should contain that type of theme throughout. This goes for all parts of the industry. Of course there's no harm in including a little variety but make sure to communicate with your agent and get all of the photos you decide to put in your portfolio approved by your agent first. In the age of online technology, many agencies now post online portfolios instead of having hard copies but you may still be required to have a portfolio book with printed hard copies of your images. This will definitely be the case for high fashion models. The ideal size for printing out your images is no bigger than 8"x 10". And make sure that you get a good quality, sturdy portfolio book or case that accomodates the size of your photos without wrinkling or tearing them. Include no more than 20 photos. If you can, try to limit it to 15 photos. You never want to overwhelm the client with too many photos, unless your images are all stunning. Include both color and black and white images. If 15-20 photos sounds like it wouldn't be enough, keep in mind that over time models always update their portfolios with new shots so it's not like you'd be showing clients the same 15-20 pictures.  The most important thing to remember when it comes to your portfolio is to only include the BEST photos of you. EVERY SINGLE IMAGE IN YOUR PORTFOLIO SHOULD MAKE THE VIEWER GO "WOW"! Not, "okay", "cute", "nice", but "WOW". Each turn of the page should make them want to see more and ultimately, book you for their gig. Put your best photos on the right side of the portfolio book and the really good photos on the left side. This will allow them to catch your best images first and make them want to keep going through your book. Never put an image in your portfolio that you have any doubts about. You need to be proud of your work and show your client and agent that you have what it takes to get the job done and that you are the one they should choose.
Warm Regards.

5 HOTTEST LIPSTICK COLORS

1. RED
Red lipstick is the perfect punctuation to any bold look. The sassy and attention-grabbing hue is every woman’s go-to when they’re feeling sexy and confident. And despite critical opinion, there’s a red lip for every skin tone.

2. ORANGE

I’m really into orange this season! It looks beautiful against bronzed skin so it’s a perfect color for summer. The citrus hue is also fashion-forward. It pops against clothing in colors like navy and purple..

3. PLUM

The darkest hue on this list, plum serves up romantic, sultry vibes. The vampy color is bold and intense so it’s best to keep the rest of your makeup simple. I love to see plum lipstick paired with lighter clothing colors like white and pastels for a bold contrast.

4. PINK
Pink is probably my favorite color on this list. It’s playful, girly and vibrant: perfect for the summer months. I love wearing it with a light application of matte pink blush and liner to keep the attention on my lips.

5.PURPLE
Purple can be a tricky hue to rock depending on the shade. I love deeper purple hues because they flatter dark skin tones. I usually wear purple lipstick with light metallic eyeshadow and mascara. It looks stunning with clothing in colors like orange and gray.
